our story
Hey Sister began as a simple idea: to connect and support women in rural communities. We recognized the unique challenges and incredible strength of women who live and work in these areas. From farmers and entrepreneurs to mothers and community leaders, rural women are the backbone of our society.
We saw a need for a dedicated space where these women could come together, share their experiences, and find the resources they need to thrive. Hey Sister is more than just a brand; it's a sisterhood.
Rooted in Rural. Built for Women.
Our mission is to empower rural women by fostering connection, providing access to resources, and celebrating their unique contributions to their communities and the world. We are committed to building a network of support where every woman feels seen, heard, and valued.
From backyard activities to gathering around the dinner table, we celebrate the everyday beauty of rural living. Whether you’re styling your home, planning a get-together, or looking for your next tip to simplify your life, our content helps you make it all feel special — without the overwhelm.

meet the founder
Lexi Marek Beeler is a small-town girl with big vision—and the heart to bring it to life. Raised in rural Iowa, Lexi’s roots are firmly planted in the values of community, hard work, and connection. She grew up surrounded by agriculture, family, and front-porch conversations—the kind of upbringing that shaped her love for real stories and real people.
Her journey has taken her from cornfields to conference rooms, living and working in cities across the country. No matter where she’s landed, Lexi has always carried a deep respect for rural life and a passion for elevating the voices of women within it.
Over the past decade, Lexi has built a career centered on connecting people, curating meaningful experiences, and leading impactful events—especially in the agriculture industry. She’s worked alongside national organizations and grassroots movements to champion women in ag, creating spaces where professional growth and personal authenticity coexist.
Hey Sister is Lexi’s homegrown passion project—born from the belief that rural women deserve bold conversations, honest encouragement, and a sisterhood that sees and celebrates them fully.
Whether she’s behind the mic, hosting a workshop, or writing a heartfelt blog post, Lexi shows up with intention, creativity, and deep care for the women she serves.
