Things to do on Your Wedding Day
Congratulations on your engagement! Welcome to the world of figuring out the future details of your life, but you also get to wade through lots of planning details and all of the suggestions being rattled your way.
Here are a few suggestions to make your wedding day a little easier, in one list.
What to do on your wedding day
Take a deep breath!
This is the best day of your life, enjoy it.
Follow the set schedule.
Timing of activities likely will be off from the original plan, and it’s ok! You’ve worked with your photographer, wedding coordinator, and every other vendor to make sure the day is perfect. Be sure to stay on track as much as possible and relax along the way.
Eat!
Don’t let the day go by without a full meal. You will feel much better the next day if you eat.
Discuss payment before the big day.
When booking each vendor, tell them how they will be paid and then follow through. If you’re covering the cost, do so quickly or have a wedding planner take care of the payment. If bridesmaids are expected to cover the cost, let them know before the big day.
Hand your phone off to someone to take photos and videos all day.
You don’t need to be glued to your phone; live in the moment. But it is fun to look at photos and videos before the professional photos come back. Have one person fill your cell phone with any photos and videos they can get. Be prepared to laugh!
Leave comfortable shoes at your dinner table to change into.
Shoes that you don’t wear often can be uncomfortable. Be sure to stash a comfortable pair of shoes either in a bag or at the reception so when you’re ready to unwind and let your feet breathe, they’re available.
Don’t worry about your dress getting dirty.
The dress will be worn for one night, and the memories will live on. Dry cleaners can work magic, and you’d hate to miss out on fun due to worrying about your dress!
Enjoy!
That’s it! It’s simple, really. This is the best day of your life, enjoy it with your new spouse!
